Starting dose needs to be considered carefully for this protocol to avoid getting worse. A common trend is the use of doses below 5mg, which is highly problematic and leads to regression or worsening and is related to redistribution because doses are too low to endure half-life.
Sometimes parents feel they can avoid yeast overgrowth or reduce symptoms by using doses below 5mg, but this is not entirely accurate and comes with redistribution of mercury. For the protocol to be safe, it needs to prevent redistribution and control yeast, and reducing symptoms is very manageable and detailed in the book. There are occasions where a child's weight puts the starting dose below 5mg, but it is still not a good idea because the same problem exists with half-life. For example, using 1mg leaves 0.05 mg at the 3-hour time frame, which is too low to prevent redistribution. Not everyone reports negative symptoms initially from micro-doses, but if continued problems appear due to repeated redistribution. You don't want to be in this situation. It is normal to be concerned with symptoms during detox, but they are manageable with the information in our book. The goal is to safely detox and not risk redistribution of mercury to the brain. It might seem easier to start below 5mg, but you don't want to make things worse with redistribution. Five milligrams is a small dose, and it's typically worthwhile to start at a 1/4 mg per pound which shows better results quicker anyway. Comments are closed.
